20:20 buys Swedish distributor

20:20 Mobile Group is to acquire AxCom AB, the market-leading distributor in Sweden and a major player in Norway and Denmark. The price wasn’t revealed, but AxCom has projected 2007 revenues of £250m; this is 20:20 Mobile’s first acquisition under its new ownership and is part of a strategy to expand the business internationally “and to roll out its successful European model”.
Said Mark Ryan, 20-20 Mobile CEO: Group, “The acquisition provides us with a unique opportunity to leverage the strengths of 20:20’s advanced services with AxCom’s market channels to drive growth opportunities”.
 

The acquisition of AxCom means that 20:20 Mobile Group will have operations in nine countries.
