Avenir explores data options with dealers

Avenir Telecom held what it called a “distribution-led data solutions forum” last month in the impressive surroundings of Fawsley Hall, Northamptonshire, to outline revenue opportunities within the B2B mobile data market.
The distributor brought together a variety of contributors including O2, Vodafone, RIM, Hewlett Packard and specialist consultants to provide “factual insights and practical advice” on the services, applications and devices that can enable resellers to maximise B2B revenue.

Tanny Price, Avenir UK’s MD, put it like this: “As the returns on voice-only services are diminishing, Avenir is passionate about supporting its clients to achieve growth through untapping the opportunities within data. For some, this may initially involve maximising the sales of services such as mobile internet, email and instant messaging through to those who will provide their customers with complete communications solutions and end-to-end support.

“The success of data services is reliant on all key touch points of the industry working together to provide end-users with a consistent offering that provides a measurable return on investment. As a leading distributor, Avenir is well positioned to bring together all these elements and the data solutions forum was a great example of how this kind of approach can work."

One client commented; “We are already aware that the growth of data services is a potentially lucrative revenue stream for our business but understanding the practicalities of unlocking this value from within our customer base is the real challenge. Avenir’s data forum has provided us with a wide variety of practical information that will help us to develop our offering and a useful networking opportunity to discuss ideas and concerns with their partners and other clients."

Avenir says it will be holding similar events in the future.
