GSMA attacks EU proposals on roaming controls

“Further roaming regulation is unnecessary and could have unforeseen consequences,”warned Rob Conway, chief executive of the GSM Association,in an attack on proposed EU regulation on roaming charges. The GSMA thinks the EC’s proposals are based on “an outdated and incomplete view of the roaming market and the wider mobile industry”– roaming is part of a broader package which overall represents “very good value for consumers”.
