Networks & Network Services
LG get in on the smartphone bandwagon with their first effort at a Symbian powered handset, and by the look of it they have every reason to be full of Joy.

The LG JoY is a good looking slider smartphone based on Symbian OS v9 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. With a 2.4 inch LCD screen, HSDPA radio for super fast mobile internet, and full xHTML browser, JoY makes it fast and easy for fun seekers to browse the Internet and download content and applications.
It also boasts a 2-megapixel camera for snapshots and a VGA one for video calls.

Jorgen Behrens, executive vice-president, marketing, Symbian, said: "The marriage of LG Electronics and Symbian OS is an ideal fit and JoY as an ideal offspring as it combines advanced electronic computer capabilities with an attractive form factor and high performance. With consumer market trends leaning towards convergence and network operators looking to bring smartphones to market even quicker, Symbian is working closely with LG Electronics to fuel this fast growing segment of the market."
