Source: Telephia European Subscriber and Device Report, which surveys of over 27,000 subscribers across Germany, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain and Britain. It has tracked key industry performance metrics since 2004. The Motorola RAZR V3 was the single most popular phone in Europe last quarter – nearly 5.3m Europeans bought one during the period. The V3 was especially strong in the UK, Italy and Spain, where its share ranged from 7.5 to 9%. Motorola may have had the most popular model, but Nokia had five of the top eight handsets. Nokia’s 6630, N70 and 6680 showed the impact of 3G in Europe.
