Unique to Grow

Networks & Network Services
Unique Distribution this week announced the acquisition of a new £12.5 million purpose built distribution complex in Hayes Middlesex to facilitate its plans for dramatic future growth.
Unique’s investors, Innovative Global Business Group Ltd (IGB), who have a number of businesses in diverse industries including; financial services, property development, motor vehicles and electronic equipment, will utilise the 200,000 sq ft property to house Unique’s logistics, finance and new business units that have outgrown its original facilities in Abingdon.

Unique COO, David Whitaker explained that whilst Unique Distribution will relocate to Hayes, there will still be a sales presence in Oxfordshire.

“The current units in Abingdon are no longer conducive to the level and style of our projected business expansion for the next three years.  The new head office in Hayes which incorporates a substantial warehousing facility will accommodate all other Unique divisions. There are certain existing and proposed business units that will benefit geographically by operating from our Hayes centre.  Unique is renowned for its impeccable levels of customer service and reliable logistics so our objective is to continue to deliver a world class distribution level of service from a centre that reflects our ambitions. We will ensure that by implementing a staged logistical transition the move will ensure an on-going quality service to our customers and suppliers.”

Chairman, John McFarnon praised the staff at Unique for their continued dedication and hard work.  He stated that the management is totally committed to all Unique employees and staffing levels will be substantially increased over the next year to facilitate the exciting plans for Unique’s growth within a more modern and professional working environment.
