CHANNEL SALES MANAGER
Competitive based on experience basic salary + commission

Saltaire, Bradford, West Yorkshire

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Channel Sales Manager to join a growing business telecommunications company based in Saltaire, Bradford. This exciting opportunity requires an enthusiastic and target driven individual to develop the Company’s indirect sales channel, known as ‘Channel Partners’ which consists of self-employed agents and independent companies.

 

The role entails, working with Channel Partners to assist them in selling and promoting the company’s range of products and services by way of administrative, product, pricing and training support.

 

The successful candidate will ideally have 1 years channel or telecoms experience and a proven track record of recruiting new partners and managing their expectations.

 

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Proven track record of recruiting new partners and managing their expectations
  • Enjoys and motivated by the thrill of seeking and acquiring new business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity in this role
  • Accustomed in managing workload and prioritising effectively to meet all deadlines
  • Can present complex, technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to quickly build rapport and interpret and adjust to both verbal and non verbal feedback and cues from audience
  • Ability to positively respond to and overcome objections
  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent ‘C’ or above in English & Maths
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • UK Drivers Licence (<6 penalty points)

 

 

THE ROLE IN DETAIL

 

Sales

  • Work closely with Channel Partners to generate opportunities and help partners to maximise sales
  • Submit pricing and pre-qualification requests reflecting the customer’s demands
  • Speaking with and visiting end customers to support Channel Partners
  • Contact and arrange visits with new Channel Partners to assess the business opportunity
  • Maintain in regular contact and arrange visits with existing Channel Partners

 

Custom Service

  • Resolve all queries within a timely manner ensuring that all information, guidance and advice is ‘right first time’.
  • Take proactive measures to retain custom/channel partners by flagging any patterns or potential issues/concerns to the management team.
  • Take responsibility for progressing indirect sales orders, ensuring they are processed in line with SLA’s and expectations, and updates the Channel Partner.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships

 

Training

  • Identify, develop, coordinate and deliver an induction training programme to ensure that all new channel partners receive appropriate training to facilitate sales.
  • Training partners on new products and services via a webinar
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees and the effectiveness of the training programme, method and content and make further training plans/amendments as necessary.

 

Administration

  • Provide detailed, accurate and uniform quotes for Channel Partners and store them in an organised manner on the internal shared drive/CRM.
  • Maintain the CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios
  • Submit pricing and pre-qualification requests reflecting the customer’s demands
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and notes pertaining to Channel Partners and Customers on internal CRM system.
  • Compile and distribute frequent newsletters aimed at Channel Partners.
