Aastra 400 receives four stars from current analysis

US-based research firm Current Analysis has conducted an independent product assessment on the Aastra 400 series of communication servers for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), awarding it a four star rating, the highest rating given to any of the solutions in that category

Describing the Aastra 400 as “….threatening in the market for SMB communications platforms,” the report highlights the Aastra 400’s ability to challenge other vendors and compete in the enterprise communications market as a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) solution.

The award winning Aastra 400 series combines a full range of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) applications, mobility solutions and user centric devices into a single solution.

Current Analysis’ report highlights the Aastra 400’s robust set of mobility features, which include one-number reach and the transfer of calls to and from mobile devices. Other strengths identified in the report include ease of use, cost effectiveness and the fact that the different Aastra 400 models can all be internetworked and managed as a single system.

Brian Riggs, author of the report was also impressed by the fact the Aastra 400 provides a direct migration path for SMBs which have deployed Aastra’s Business Phone, IntelliGate and MD Evolution. He noted, “This provides a large pool of SMBs for which the Aastra 400 will be the logical and most convenient choice when it comes to upgrading their communications platforms.”

Commenting on Current Analysis’ product assessment, Alan Reeve, Managing Director, Aastra UK & Ireland said, “As the European market leader in communications for small and medium sized businesses, we have an in-depth understanding of the needs of SMBs. The Aastra 400 series encapsulates our expertise and was developed to enhance internal communication, improve communication with customers, save costs and enable employees to be more responsive at all times, whether on or off site.”

“We have been delighted with the response to the Aastra 400 since it launched in April. Our channel partners and customers have been very impressed with the tangible benefits and embedded UCC applications and the Aastra 400 has also won industry awards. Such high praise from Current Analysis, an independent and well respected research firm, provides further endorsement, and will give even greater confidence to our customers and prospective buyers of our leadership in the enterprise communications market.”
