Aculab adds Global Channel Partners for ApplianX Products

Aculab, the provider of enabling technologies for the communications market, has expanded its distribution channel for its ApplianX brand of gateway products by adding leading resellers in Europe, North America and India.

Signing on as partners are Nixxis, based in Brussels; Nimans, Ltd., located in Manchester, England; TSG Global of Longwood, Florida, USA; and Cohesive Technologies, Ltd. in India. Each of these distributors is fully certified to sell and support the ApplianX IP Gateway. Nixxis, Nimans, and Cohesive Technologies are also authorised to sell the ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway, which is specifically targeted to enterprises and service providers in the UK, and select markets in Europe and Asia.

“We are delighted that these experienced, highly reputable technology partners are joining us to market and support the ApplianX product portfolio,” said Tim Joint, Aculab’s Commercial Manager for the ApplianX family of products. “Each of these organisations offers solid credentials in understanding and addressing the complex needs of customers looking to leverage the distinct advantages of advanced communications technologies. We look forward to working with them in further expanding the ApplianX footprint in strategic markets like the US, UK, Europe, and Southern Asia.”

Highly regarded for its ease of use and low administrative costs, the ApplianX IP Gateway supports a wide range of international protocols, making the device suitable for worldwide deployment in both enterprise and service provider networks. A number of leading solution providers, including Avaya, Cisco, Aastra and BT have certified ApplianX to allow integration with legacy TDM-based PBXs.

The latest version of the ApplianX IP Gateway includes enhancements, such as support for Diversion, Transfer, Message Waiting Indicator, and Route Optimisation SIP, Q.SIG and DPNSS protocols, making it the first gateway to deliver these capabilities to both SMB and enterprise customers.

Further developments include a wider range of routing options for both SIP-to-TDM and SIP-to-SIP conversions, as well as improved load balancing between endpoints on a round-robin basis, ensuring that calls are automatically routed away from unresponsive endpoints. Reliability features have also been upgraded. TDM fallback support enables the ApplianX IP Gateway to complete inbound and outbound calls even in the event of an IP network failure.
