Anixter Announces London Date For Its Series Of 'Digital Vision' Seminars

Anixter, the distributor of wire, cable and connectivity products has announced that its series of Digital Vision seminars - which explain how to converge physical security devices, such as CCTV cameras, DVD recorders and monitors, with IT networks - will be taking place in London on 21st February at The Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms, King Charles Street London, SW1A 2AQ.

Building on the success of other seminars across EMEA, which have already been attended by over 1,100 people, the London event will bring together 14 technology leaders from Anixter’s extensive list of world-class security and network infrastructure vendor partners - including ProCurve Networking by HP, Proxim, SYSTIMAX Solutions, Axis Communications, Bosch, PowerDsine and Verint.

Together, they will cover topics ranging from successful migration from analogue to IP-based surveillance, the ways in which digital protection can bring measurable value to businesses, and tips for managing fully converged security and communications networks. In addition, experts will be on hand to discuss how the technology has already been implemented in companies across the UK - explaining how it has revolutionised operations and is now providing protection from potential threats, while also cutting installation and maintenance costs associated with older analogue systems.

Attendees will also have the chance to learn how digital video surveillance can enable their organisations to benefit from high quality data, improved cost-efficiencies, full scaleability and remote accessibility.

Tom Kneis, Physical Security Sales Director at Anixter, explains: " Anixter was one of the first distributors to recognise the need for converged digital surveillance and IT networks and, following the launch of its Physical Security business is leading the way in innovative IP-based security offerings in partnership with the world's leading vendors in the field. This places the company in a unique position - allowing it to offer a definitive guide to adoption, migration and maintenance."
