Arden Group Acquires Computerworld Business Solutions

Fast growing business communications provider Arden Group has acquired Birmingham-based IT support specialist Computerworld Business Solutions (CBS) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will further bolster Arden Group’s existing managed service offering, adding the IT support and services experience of CBS into its growing communications portfolio. The long-term plan is to fully integrate CBS into the wider Arden Group brand, a move that will deliver customers a greater range of business communication solutions, while negating the need for multiple suppliers.

A Sophos Gold and Synchronised Security partner, the deal also comes at an exciting time for the 20-strong team of CBS, which will be merged with Arden Group’s employees. The company is currently investing heavily in developing its own cloud datacentre to provide online backup services to customers as well as other hosted offerings.

Nigel Walker, Managing Director at Arden Group commented: “The acquisition of CBS represents an important milestone in our growth strategy. As a well-established and successful business, CBS gives us the chance to boost our service offering for customers, to deliver a fully converged IT and telecoms solution. With the combined strength of the two companies, our in-house resource, knowledge, and capability, we are confident that this partnership will enable us to play a more defining role in the growth of our shared customer base.”
