Avaya Appoints New Chief Information Officer

Avaya has appointed Lorie Buckingham as senior vice president and Chief Information Officer. In her new role, Buckingham will lead overall IT infrastructure and applications development and deployment across the organisation to support Avaya's strategy and enhance productivity.

Buckingham joins Avaya from Visteon Corporation, where she served as Chief Information Officer and senior vice president of the Global Services Group.

Before joining Visteon, Buckingham served as CIO at ZoneTrader.com and, previously, senior director of Enterprise Information Technology Solutions at Union Carbide Corporation. Prior to that, she was director of Application Development at Continental Bank.
