Avaya launches Galway Customer Experience Centre

Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, software and services, today officially launched its Galway-based Customer Experience Centre and announced its plans to increase Avaya’s Galway-based employee base over the next year.

The Customer Experience Centre is Avaya’s unique global R&D facility which offers customers direct access to developers who can create custom, customer-specific environments showcasing Avaya’s technology, and allowing a view of future technologies.

The Centre, located in Avaya’s Galway offices, opened today with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Avaya’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) president Michael Bayer and Barry O’Leary, chief executive officer (CEO) of IDA Ireland, a key proponent for Avaya’s expansion in Ireland.

“The innovations Avaya is bringing to communications are true game-changers, and will allow our customers in Ireland and throughout the world to change their conversations with their own customers,” said Michael Bayer, president, Avaya EMEA. “Our Galway Customer Experience Centre is a unique showcase facility in which customers can see our collaboration solutions in action and in an environment that has been customised to reflect their own business use cases and challenges. At the facility, customers can work with our staff engineers to see how their environment can migrate smoothly into those solutions and how they can benefit and reinvigorate their business.”

By offering real-time access to experts, the Customer Experience Centre is designed to help Avaya customers and prospects understand the true value of real-time collaboration, and see exactly how Avaya’s innovations can help them tackle new business opportunities.

Bayer added: “Avaya is aggressively expanding our market reach in Europe by driving our global leadership in the areas of contact centers and unified communications solutions to businesses throughout the country. We are currently recruiting new employees as quickly as possible to help Avaya as it further expands throughout Europe.”

Avaya is currently recruiting staff in Galway in a multitude of positions, including research and development, engineering, finance, IT and administrative support.
