Avaya Launches Virtual Learning Campus

MSPs
Avaya launched the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus, an avatar university campus for partners to build and share knowledge and gain technical training and accreditation in key Avaya competencies.

The Avaya Learning Virtual Campus will enable collaborative and social learning, where students interact and share information and their experiences in a virtual campus environment. The curriculum will be self-directed, with Avaya Learning Mentors and Experts in the same environment to facilitate learning and offer guidance and feedback. The new content will be unscheduled and available 24/7, so users can consume what they want, when they want.

Avaya will leverage the capabilities of AvayaLive Engage to offer enrollment packages in the Virtual Campus that differ from traditional leader led classroom and labs. Students will complete self-paced lecture materials and then spend time with an instructor in Ask the Mentor sessions where individual feedback is provided to the student. Once complete students move to instructor facilitated virtual lab exercises for practical sessions. All of this is done as preparation to gain Avaya certified accreditation in the installation and administration of key Avaya technologies.

Avaya expects its new virtual learning environment to reduce both the time and cost of learning and enable students to increase their focus and retention on key and critical information.

The Avaya Learning Virtual Campus will launch in December with five solution level buildings, collaboration spaces and an auditorium for lectures. The Small and Midsize Business solution building contains all content for Avaya IP Office implement and support credentials. Initial offers available in the UC Collaboration Platform building include Avaya Aura Technical Fundamentals which is the foundation for several Unified Communications credentials.

Credential driven content in the remaining solution buildings - Unified Communications Applications, Contact Centre and Networking as well as a campus library will follow.

“We are taking the energy and engagement of traditional classroom based learning into the digital domain. The Avaya Learning Virtual Campus will form an integral part of our ROADS (Recruit, Onboad, Authorise, Develop, Sustain) initiative in EMEA. We expect the new learning and training format to help get our partners authorised to sell faster and enable them to focus on the critical learning paths which will help them grow their business with Avaya.” commented Claire Macland,VP Go-To-Market and Marketing.
