Azlan Invests in Skills for Cisco Unified Communications

Azlan is making further investments in the development of its specialist skills in Cisco Unified Communications to ensure it can meet the needs of partners looking to build and develop their own capabilities and business in this key technology category.

It has also expanded its specialist Cisco team by appointing a specialist Business Development Manager (BDM) for Unified Communications. Seven of Azlan’s specialist Cisco team have now completed the Cisco Sales Essentials and Express Unified Communications education programmes and have thus become certified Cisco Sales Experts (CSEs) in Unified Communications. They had all previously been qualified, either as CSEs or Cisco Sales Advisors (CSAs) in networking technologies.

The further development of the Cisco team’s skills is a demonstration of Azlan’s commitment, both to delivering specialist advice and support to customers, and to helping partners drive business development in Cisco Advanced Technologies, says UK Director of Azlan, Andrew Shepperd.

“Cisco, its partners and Azlan are all moving in the same direction. There is a clear desire to increase the level and quality of technical advice and support available to end user customers in Advanced Technologies. Cisco sees this as essential to the further growth and development of its own and its partners’ business. Azlan is investing in developing its skills today, so that we are in a position to provide a higher level of specialist support and advice to Cisco partners as they build their own capabilities in new categories such as unified communications, security and mobility.”

Azlan is also starting to invest in other Cisco Advanced Technologies, recruiting an experienced customer account manager, who was previously with an established Cisco VAR, to provide business development support for Cisco partners looking to specialise in Security or Mobility.

Further plans will see Azlan provide specialist Cisco training for its general sales team to ensure that all staff involved in advising customers about Cisco technologies and solutions can provide intelligent and informed guidance to reseller customers.
