Bale Joins Teamphone

Andrew Bale has joined Teamphone, a next generation voice service provider, as Vice President of Operations with responsibility for the implementation and operation of Teamphone services.

An important part of Andrew's new role will be to work with the company's Solution Partners to ensure Teamphone services are delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible and with broad functionality.

Teamphone's Solution Partners include BT, Accenture, Atos, Colt Telecom and Regus.

Andrew has worked in the Telecommunications industry since 1985 and has an impressive record of bringing innovative new telephony services to market. He joins Teamphone from Avaya where he was Vice President of Global Managed Services across EMEA with responsibility for developments in hosted and managed telephony services. During his time at Avaya, Andrew led the team that delivered the first 'white label' hosted telephony service to resellers in the UK and Europe.

"We are extremely pleased that Andrew is joining us at this very exciting time for our company." said Geoffrey Paterson, Chief Executive Officer, Teamphone. "Andrew brings a wealth of experience in enterprise telephony and managed services, as well as valuable management maturity during this period of rapid growth as we complete the transition to network delivery and next generation services".

It is his experience in hosted and managed services that first led Andrew to take an interest in Teamphone. "It's clear to me that the Teamphone approach will redefine what customers expect from a business telephony solution" he states. "As customers demand ever more feature-rich, reliable and scaleable services, telephony suppliers must deliver both an architectural approach and a broad set of applications to meet their needs at the lowest possible cost. In this respect, the Teamphone approach is ahead of the game. It's also an approach that will also give small businesses and departments within large organisations access to advanced and highly scaleable services that were previously only affordable to larger organisations."

Prior to Avaya, Andrew founded Flexion Systems, a company that developed the world's first broadband IP-based PBX that was deployed by a number of Next Generation Carriers across North America. Before that, he was the Chief Technology Officer at 3Com, responsible for the development of 3Com's Remote Access portfolio, and for bringing Converged solutions to 3Com's traditional data products. His achievements at 3Com included heading the project team that brought the world's first converged PBX router to market in 1994.
