BeeWi and HMV driving excitement this Winter

Wireless accessory manufacturer BeeWi and leading accessory distributor Avenir Telecom have teamed up with retailer HMV to stock its latest funky gadget toys: helicopters and mini cooper cars that require only a Smartphone or Tablet device (and some driving technique) to get the fun started.

BeeWi makes the latest Bluetooth and WiFi technologies accessible to everyone, using plug and play solutions, and unique and innovative design, so no separate controls or adaptors to the phone are needed: just a downloaded app, a quick pairing of the phone to the car or helicopter and some batteries and you’re ready for some high speed action!

HMV, which has recently announced that it is expanding its personal technology offer to customers, will be stocking these fab toys for grown-ups, in stores from November, ensuring that there’s plenty of time to treat yourself or a loved one to the latest must-have gadget.

The range of four toys include a black Mini Cooper car and black helicopter, which operate through a Bluetooth connection on any phone operating with Android 2.1 or above, and a red Mini Cooper car and red helicopter operated via a Bluetooth connection on any iOS device (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad). Depending on the operating platform chosen, the cars retail at £49.99 and £59.99 respectively, while the helicopters are available at £69.99 and £79.99.

Accessories from Avenir Telecom is the exclusive distributor of BeeWi products in the UK across all channels of distribution.

Managing Director, Andy Tow comments: “We’re really excited to be working with HMV to bring the latest hot gadgets to the British public this winter. Our BeeWi range enables you to enter a wireless zone where everything is geared at making your life easier, inter-connecting all your new technology devices in a seamless manner, whether you are at home, in the office or on the move.”

Ewan Pinder, HMV Head of Technology, comments “ We’re delighted to be stocking the BeeWi range of toys, which are huge fun. Anyone can now become an expert racing driver or helicopter pilot thanks to these great gadgets and their Smartphone controls, and they’re going to be ‘flying’ off the shelves this Christmas.”
