Big Contract Wins at Universal

Newly appointed Marketing Manager at Hertford based reseller Universal Group Justin Willson has pointed to big contract wins and a strategic marketing plan as the reasons for the company’s continued success.

"Universals successful and long established sales team continues to provide innovative yet practical solutions for our clients and then makes sure that they are looked after professionally. Most recently we have secured significant supply contract extensions with London's iconic Canary Wharf and London Borough of Camden.

We continue to achieve sales successes in the sectors Universal has established an enviable track record in, namely legal, architecture and professional services. We have recently implemented national and international solutions for two of the top ten City based law firms as well as the internationally renowned architect Swanke Hayden Connell. Expect to see more of the same success based upon this track record.”

Willson is a long time employee of Universal; not many people realise that he was actually employee number two when Terry Hunt set up the company back in 1989.

“I have spent most of my career at Universal in sales and account management,” says Willson, “It has been tremendous fun and rewarding to see the company grow over the years. Loyalty at the company is high; more that 40% of employees have been with the company for ten years or more.

In my new role as Marketing Manager I can see the huge potential we have in the market. New applications open up new markets and we will be exploiting these as well as extending our market share in those sectors we are already successful in.”
