Blue Jeans Network has announced a new partnership with Westcon-Comstor to incorporate its cloud-based solution within Westcon-Comstor’s Unified Communications and Collaboration Practice.

The partnership will see the two businesses collaborate to offer joint cloud-based video conferencing software and third party hardware technology, to create solutions through manufactured end points to a mass market.

“Both companies complement each other very well,” says James Campanini, GM and VP of Blue Jeans Network EMEA. “Westcon-Comstor has an evolutionary vision of creating a portfolio of collaborative interoperable communication solutions, while Blue Jeans allows users to pick the technology they need to best solve the problems they face.

“Employees are demanding more and more from technology and video is a huge part of these demands. Employees want live interactions to transform their communications with colleagues, customers and prospects. Together with Westcon-Comstor’s global reach, we will now be able to offer these services to many more markets, no matter the size.”

Dan Connolly, SVP and GM of Westcon-Comstor’s global Cloud Practice, says “Westcon-Comstor is leading cloud distribution by developing solutions that enable accelerated cloud adoption. Through education and enablement programs, as well as proprietary tools, we’re helping our partners transition to a highly efficient recurring-revenue business model.

“Blue Jeans gives our customers flexibility to choose the technology they want and create the solutions they need. This vision fits well with Westcon-Comstor’s ability to deliver global reach, supported by local expertise, with active cloud transacting customers and best-of-breed traditional and emerging cloud-centric vendor partners.”

Westcon-Comstor will have access to Blue Jeans’ entire portfolio of products including Blue Jeans Primetime and will start integrating the cloud-based solution with immediate effect across UK, Nordics, Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia and Italy.
