Business legislations get the thumbs up!

Although owners of small companies are often stereotyped as virulently anti-red tape, if a recent survey is to be believed most actually think employment legislation is good for their business.

Research by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) suggests that two-thirds of employers believe existing legislation helps them treat employees more fairly and earn their trust. The Disability Discrimination Act, the Sex Discrimination Act and the right to request flexible working rules were all cited as good legislation.
