Communicate Better CEO Wayne Cartwright successfully completed the Virgin London Marathon on 26th April 2015.

His very commendable time was 4 hours, 17 minutes and 2 seconds. An even bigger achievement was beating his fundraising target by a significant margin, by generating over £6300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

2014 was a particularly tough year for Wayne and his co-Director brother Steve, who lost their father after several long battles with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support were invaluable in their assistance through a tough time for the family and Wayne thought it was time to give something back.

Despite a few aching muscles Wayne said he felt remarkably good after completing the race; “After the passing of my dad I wanted to do my bit and raise some money for all the people who helped him and my family through the last few months of his life. I’m thrilled to have achieved the time that I did and it feels like a huge accomplishment. I am also really proud of the amount of money raised for Macmillan. It’s definitely one challenge ticked off my bucket list and my dad was with me every step of the way!”.
