Charitable Daisy staff take on the Alton Water 10K!

Colleagues from a leading communications firm swapped telephones for trainers when taking on a charity run on Sunday, 8th May.

Employees from Daisy Distribution, the Ipswich-based mobile arm of the company, joined colleagues from Daisy Group’s Stockley Park site, to tackle the Alton Water 10K in Suffolk at the weekend.

Together they were raising cash for the Magic Breakfast, as well as St Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich.

While the Magic Breakfast is a children’s charity that provides breakfast for primary school pupils who may otherwise go without, St Elizabeth’s Hospice improves the lives of people living with a progressive illness.

Those who took part included Daisy Distribution’s Lindsay Cooper, Elaine Yellen, Adam Cooper, Lee Reynolds, Jamie Macrae and Shaun Riceman, as well as HR Manager (South) Emma Richardson and Bid Manager Shahram Shirazi, who are based at Stockley Park.

Emma said: “It was fantastic to get together with colleagues outside of work and take part in such a rewarding event.

“Despite it being a hot day, the training really paid off and we all managed to complete the course in good time, thanks to one another’s encouragement!”

The runners have so far managed to raise more than £500 in total for their chosen charities and are still receiving donations.
