Charterhouse Announces Carbon Footprint Reduction Event

Charterhouse Voice and Data PLC (CVD) has announced their Carbon Footprint Reduction Event for clients and prospective customers on 22 April at Central Hall Westminster in London.

The event is to be sponsored by technology partners who themselves are focused on being more environmentally-aware as organisations. Platinum Sponsors are Mitel and Sharp Electronics with Gold Sponsors being Gamma Telecom and T-Mobile.

The event will feature presentations from Charterhouse, Mitel and Sharp explaining to the delegates how they can reduce their carbon footprint through the adoption of next generation communications and reprographics solutions. The focus will be on how enterprises can reduce power consumption, reduce resource consumption and reduce unnecessary travel, as well as to change working practices, in order to cut their CO2 emissions.

The keynote speech at the event will come from The CarbonNeutral Company, pioneers in the field of carbon offsetting and the most experienced company in the sector, with over 10 years experience. The CarbonNeutral Company has worked with Charterhouse to enable CVD to be awarded the CarbonNeutral company brand mark. This presentation will explain the business and environmental benefits of being CarbonNeutral, and how you can achieve this. The event will illustrate practically how companies can reduce their carbon footprint through technology.

Graham Bevington, Managing Director EMEA for Mitel, stated: “Mitel is highly focused on being thought leaders in the communications market in the sustainability arena. Our products are manufactured with reduced emissions in mind and our solutions help customers to change the way they work in order to reduce carbon emissions through flexible working and collaborative working. We’re pleased to be working with a forward-thinking partner like Charterhouse on delivering these benefits to customers.”

Marcus I’Anson, Commercial Director for Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd, commented: “Sharp is listed on the FTSE4Good Global Index and is committed to developing energy saving and energy creating products, so the issue of neutralising technology-related greenhouse gas emissions is extremely important to us. Our document solutions can have a major positive impact on power and resource consumption as well as enabling new working models that help businesses to reduce carbon footprint. We’re delighted to work with Charterhouse to showcase our combined capabilities.”
