Chess Appoints New Financial Controller

As part of its business growth strategy, Chess has appointed Mark Lightfoot as Financial Controller. Lightfoot has gained a great deal of experience having worked in various roles both in Accountancy practice and Industry and he is now ready to put this experience to good use in Chess. A keen footballer, he may also be appearing in the Chess Knights Squad at the Comms Dealer 5-a-Side tournament later in the year.

“Having attended Chess’ June conference I am convinced it is the optimum time to join the Company given its objectives and ambitions. After just one week in the business I can tell from the quality and drive of the people that nothing will stand in the way of its ambition. The Chess culture ensures each person contributes, feels part of the team and is rewarded accordingly. The controls, processes and culture that have been established over the years means the next level of growth will be an exciting and successful time and I am looking forward to being a part of it. I am looking forward to integrating myself into the business and making a positive contribution in the shortest time possible. I hope that my effort and contribution will eventually lead me to the position of Finance Director and a long, happy and successful career with Chess”.
