Chrismas comes early for Node4

Data centre and communications solutions specialist, Node4, has appointed Andy Chrismas as its Cloud Sales Manager.

Andy will develop Node4’s cloud strategy to continue providing robust services for the SMB and enterprise space, and to enable the reseller channel via the Node4 partner program.

Prior to his appointment, Andy spent over four years at pan-European IT distribution company, Magirus, where he was UK North Sales Manager, working closely with leading vendors including VMware, Cisco and EMC. Andy brings with him a wealth of experience to his new role having spent over ten years in the IT industry, with a focus on the reseller channel and end-user engagement around virtualisation, and the adoption of flexible cloud based propositions.

Andy said, “I am pleased to be a part of Node4 which is an energetic and hungry company with a clear vision centred on delivering true end-to-end cloud services over the next few years. The team has a wealth of knowledge in running multisite data centres and applying this experience to the cloud – the new era of computing, makes for a really exciting opportunity over the coming years. Cloud computing is certainly here to stay and companies will become more and more educated about the true benefits it brings their organisation. We are already seeing the demand from customers wanting to shift towards a more flexible opex driven model.”

Reporting to Paul Bryce, Node4 Business Development Director, Andy’s appointment is a key part of the company’s commitment to cloud technology, which anticipates continued growth in 2013 and beyond.

Andy Chrismas gained industry experience through hands-on training. He began working in the reseller community initially selling printers, consumable items and PCs. He then identified a shift in the industry and noticed the adoption of virtualisation and went on to develop a business and his knowledge in this area.
