Close Shave at Nimans

It was a case of hair today gone tomorrow for Scott Davies from Nimans who had his flowing locks scalped for charity.

One member of staff even turned up with a chainsaw, but Scott escaped relatively unscathed as colleague Alan Grist got to work with a set of electric clippers.

The ‘Scalping of Scott’ generated £376 for Springwood Primary School in Swinton that provides specialist education to local children - one of the company’s three official charities. The funds were doubled by Nimans and will be put towards refurbishing the school’s light and sensory room.

Scott said afterwards: “I decided to do this as a bit of fun but when I saw the chainsaw I was a little bit worried. If I’m being honest I don’t like my new hairstyle but it was worth it to raise hundreds of pounds for such a worthy cause.”
