The inaugural Comms Business Channel Cloud Xchange (CCX) webinar which took place on Wednesday 14th March was hailed a great success by panellists and participants alike. Members of CCX including Andy Lockwood of Talk Talk Business, Any Burton of Cloud Industry Forum, Dave Dadds of Vanilla IP, Alan Mackie of Gamma and Rob Hutton of Mitel discussed the different types of cloud environment and the opportunities that cloud based services offer the channel in a lively debate chaired by Comms Business Editor, Ian Hunter.

Over one hundred resellers participated in the audio and video webinar which lasted forty five minutes and utilised Cisco’s Webex collaboration product. Issues from connectivity, product availability and reseller appetite for cloud technologies were debated.

Attendee feedback included: ‘Thanks for hosting the webinar earlier, I found it very interesting – particularly Andy Burton’s answer to my question on differentiating between cloud and hosted applications’. Another attendee told Comms Business ‘Good webinar, a little different from the normal slides and voice that we are used to’.

Comms Business Publisher Miles Bossom commented, “We were delighted to attract such a high attendance to our first ground breaking webinar. In another industry first Comms Business Magazine is leading the way utilising the latest media technologies to help our market place embrace the changing face of the Comms and IT industry. The Channel Cloud Xchange has already the commitment of some of the industry’s biggest hitters and is gathering pace. Most attendees joined at the start of the webinar and stayed engaged throughout the entire session proving that the content was relevant and informative.”
