Colt has announced that Steve Hewson has been appointed Managing Director, Operations Division reporting directly to Rakesh Bhasin, Chief Executive Officer. He will join the Company on 18 May 2009.
Hewson headed up the Operations and Technology for the Verizon organisation in Europe and oversaw the plan, design, build, operation, and service provision and assurance of the company’s network and customer services. Always working in the international arena, Hewson has 20 years experience in the telecoms industry, within Verizon, and previously BT.
Commenting on the appointment, Rakesh Bhasin said: "I am delighted that Steve is joining Colt. He brings a wealth of experience in managing international networks and customer services organisations and I look forward to working with him as Colt continues its transformation from a fixed line operator to an IT services and solutions provider.”
