Comms-care hosts Ryder Cup experience for Partners

Comms-care once again held its annual Partner Golf Day at the prestigious Celtic Manor 2010 Golf Course.

Held for the fifth year running at one of the most prestigious courses in the country, made most famous by Europe’s 2010 Ryder Cup victory, Comms-care’s Partner Golf Day was a hailed a great success by all of the partners who attended with everyone stepping up their game to be in with a chance of being crowned the winning team.

Tee off began at 10.50am with each team headed up by a member of Comms-care. The teams were greeted with a surprise on the 17th hole for the “nearest the pin” competition, the “Signature Hole Experience” which Comms-care had hired for the day to take special videos of each golfer taking their tee shot. The technology used by Signature Golf captured the moment the ball left the tee and followed it until it landed on the green; the videos were then uploaded on to USB drives and provided to the golfers at dinner as a memento of the day.

Once all golfers had been welcomed back into the clubhouse they were escorted to the Samuel Ryder Suite where a meal and prize giving awards were held. The winning team from the day was the Kelway team which was hosted by their Comms-care Account Manager.

A prize for runners up, best individual score, longest drive and nearest the pin were also handed out during the evening, as well as some joke prizes such as worst dressed, most in the water and Mr Sand man for most time spent in the bunkers.

Richard Eglon, Marketing Director, Comms-care said about the day “This is our pinnacle partner event of the year where we get chance to say thank you to all our loyal partners. It is a very competitive day where many stories are shared afterwards of how the 2010 course picks up and spits out the best of golfers. That said, our partners still feel it is the number one course to play in the UK so that is why we keep returning each year.”
