Computer 2000 Expects Record Turnout at Latest SME Training Weekend

Computer 2000, the UK arm of Tech Data, is expecting a record turnout of 120 reseller delegates at its latest SME Training Weekend, which takes place this weekend in Windsor. During the two-day event, they will be given the opportunity to attend sales training from leading vendors including Microsoft, HP and Symantec, see the latest solutions and technologies demonstrated, and meet specialists from both Computer 2000 and its vendor partners.

Resellers will be able to attend seven separate training sessions on the Saturday, including one in which Microsoft will outline its vision and plans for cloud computing. The company recently announced that it will launch Microsoft Office 365 – the hosted version of its ubiquitous productivity software, next year. There will also be training sessions on Windows Server and on HP Servers and Storage and on HP Imaging and Print solutions. In total, 15 vendor companies are either presenting or exhibiting at the Computer 2000 SME Training Weekend.

Andy Dow, Group Marketing Director of Computer 2000, said: “Our SME Training Weekends are the original and the best reseller education events in the UK. They give the vendors who participate a unique opportunity to interface with resellers and to get messages about the benefits of their new solutions and technologies across loud and clear. They are consistently popular and highly effective in helping vendors to raise awareness and increase sales of their solutions. In ROI terms, the results are always excellent.”

They also deliver tremendous benefits to resellers, he noted. “This weekend’s event will see a record number of delegates attending and there’s a very good reason for that – quite simply, they work. They enable resellers to elevate their knowledge of key solutions very quickly and gives them the confidence to go out and drive new and incremental sales. The benefits are very obvious and tangible for all concerned.

Resellers invited to attend the events, free of charge. Delegates arrive on the Friday, with training sessions and an evening networking session and dinner taking place on the Saturday.
