Concordia grows with acquisition

As part of its ambitious growth plans, cabling specialist Concordia Technologies has acquired the accessories business Appliversal from Renfrewshire Electronics Ltd (REL).

The business will become part of Concordia Technologies and will operate and distribute from the Concordia headquarters at Burnley, Lancashire.

Established for more than 30 years, Appliversal is a UK market leader for all major wholesalers in the field of crimp terminals, tools, cable management and associated products.

The external Appliversal sales team will transfer with the acquisition to provide continued customer cover for the whole of the UK.,

Concordia Technologies will continue to supply the entire range of Appliversal products which include Kew Technik, Socket & See, Critchley and the Master Lock brands.

Jeremy Kemsley-Pein, chairman of Concordia Technologies, said: “This is a natural acquisition for us and immediately broadens our range and levels of service in our key markets, while also complementing the quality of everything we do.

“Appliversal service levels will be significantly increased through the established systems within Concordia Technologies, and with a stronger sales team on the ground the traditional Concordia Technologies customers can expect even higher levels of ongoing service.

“The acquisition of Appliversal and its established brands strengthens the overall Concordia Technologies brand as a leader in its traditional wholesale and distribution market sectors across the UK.”

Concordia Technologies works closely with OEMs, consultants, installers and electrical wholesalers and distributors to provide a diverse range of cabling and IP security-based products and services for industrial, commercial and residential applications.
