Crane Announces New Appointments

David Grant, Chief Executive at distributor Crane Telecommunications has made a number of personnel changes within the company commenting, “Last year we formed relationships with a number of very important new vendors and this year it is essential we grow these businesses past their current stage. In addition, now we have a more diverse portfolio we are able to move some of our staff and Directors to match the skills and experiences they have to the needs of the business whilst providing them with greater personal development and opportunity; this is consistent with our commitment this year to focus on driving our performance through our people and our customer relationships.

The appointments are as follows

Annette Reynolds is appointed as Sales Director – Nortel Business
Annette joined Crane in January 2000 and has worked as an Account Manger in the Avaya Definity team before moving into Regional Sales Manager in 2002. In 2003 Annette joined the LG team as Sales Manager until 2004 when she moved to the Nortel team to take up the National Sales Manager role. She has helped Andrew Saunders and the team start and grow the Nortel business from day one achieving significant growth in 2005. In addition, Annette was recognised by Nortel as the top Channel Manager last year. Her appointment as Sales Director is in recognition and reward for the fantastic contribution she has made to the Nortel team and will support her in the role of recruiting and developing the channel for us this year.

Craig Walden is appointed as Marketing Director – LG Business
Craig joined Crane in November 2002 as Product Manager for the LG business moving to take on the Marketing Manager role in 2003. Craig’s focus and approach on inventory management should be seen as a benchmark standard for all our business units and as part of the new management team working with Will Morey Craig has helped breathe fresh life into our LG business. In addition, in 2006 Craig took over the responsibility for the LG Order Management and Sales Support teams.

Faith Wheller is appointed as Channel Marketing Manager
Faith joined Crane with experience gained at Cable & Wireless ,Damovo and Ericsson in various marketing roles. Under the revised organisational structure Faith is appointed as Channel Marketing Manager. The marketing department now reports to David Grant providing the Crane Group with centralised support for Channel Marketing, PR, Web and advertising initiatives.

Runa Macleod is appointed as Marketing Director – Avaya Business
Runa has been with Crane since 2000 and has held Account Manager and Account Director positions in LG and Avaya before becoming the Sales Manager for the Avaya SMBS team working with Tim Brooks. In July 2005, she was appointed as Marketing Manger for the Avaya business and has been responsible for a number of significant initiatives within the business the recent Mid Market ICP Bundle and the associated and fully integrated launch plan around collateral and training.

Steve Day is appointed as Sales Director – Mitel Business
Steve joined Crane in September 1997 as an Account Manager, he moved to Regional Sales Manager in 1999 and National Sales Manager in the European Business Division in 2002. Steve will report into Andrew Saunders, where his experience will help Andrew in the management and development of this of this business.

Susie Wiss is appointed as Sales Director – Avaya Business
Since joining Crane in April 2000 Susie has grown through the sales team from an Account Executive for INDeX, to Account Manager in the European Business Division before being promoted from Account Director – ABU to Senior Account Director – ABU in 2005. Susie has been responsible for the management and development of the Avaya business’s three biggest customers and has demonstrated outstanding skills in the development of these accounts.
