Speaking exclusively to Comms Business Magazine, Barry Galvin, a director at the computer consumables supplies company, Image Source Direct, confirmed that his company had indeed purchased East Central this Tuesday.
“We are in the process of sorting out a number of things but I can confirm we are taking over the East Central building in Brentwood and a number of their staff will be retained to operate the new business. At present we are not sure about product lines we will be supplying and will clarify that position shortly.”
Image Source Direct is believed to have a turnover of around £4.0 million so the addition of East Central to their business, and the potential revenue they could generate, will dramatically change the shape of their existing business. At its’ peak in the 1990’s East Central employed some 70 staff and had a turnover of around £100 million.
