ECI Takes Majority Shareholding in IT Lab

IT Lab has confirmed that ECI has agreed to acquire the majority shareholding in the company. The transaction, which was completed on 23rd June 2016, was part of It Lab's wider strategy to become a prominent Managed Service, Platform and Business Performance Services provider in the UK.

IT Lab provides strategic advice to SMEs and mid-market organisations to help them to leverage now more mainstream technology requirements such as data analytics, applied use of IoT (Internet of Things) and the development of digital transformation strategies to solve business challenges presented by the changing technology landscape. IT Lab provides a wide range of services to its 860 corporate customers operating across 12 sectors and, together with local partners, in 13 countries around the world.

Operating out of London, Manchester and Cape Town, IT Lab is well placed to provide the breadth and depth of services required by its clients, on a 24 x7 x 365 basis.

Peter Sweetbaum (pictured here with Craig Charlton, CIO for McLaren Technology Group), CEO of IT Lab, said, “We provide vital IT services to SME and mid-market companies that are the backbone of the UK economy. We are totally focused on helping our clients achieve their business objectives, leveraging technology to operate more effectively, more flexibly and more competitively and supporting them as they grow. IT Lab is in a very exciting growth phase with tremendous potential to expand our capability and reach.

“Partnering with ECI will allow us to deliver a greater focus on clients as they navigate new technologies. In the coming years, our clients will be faced with new challenges and this deal will help us to take a lead in service provision as IT outsourcing’s growth continues.”
