Eclipse Internet Appoints New Head of Sales and Marketing

Eclipse Internet, the Which? recommended ISP for SMEs, has appointed Pete Tomlinson to spur further growth as the company builds on its success as the UK’s fastest provider of nationwide broadband services. As Head of Sales and Marketing, Pete will be responsible for building the Eclipse brand, developing new service propositions and increasing market share through direct and reseller channels.

He said, “We already provide fantastic broadband and an outstanding service experience, but we can be more to our customers than just an ISP. We have a tremendous opportunity to step-up and deliver a new breed of cloud services that will improve the quality of life for SME users and business owners, as well as their prosperity. I also want to make sure we take our partners with us on this journey; we are going to help them grow their businesses with more opportunities to cement customer trust and boost annuity revenue streams.”

Pete joins the company from Cable & Wireless, where he worked in a variety of senior roles, most latterly as Director of Partners. He was previously instrumental in the growth of service provider Fibernet, where he worked for seven years.

Clodagh Murphy, Director at Eclipse Internet, says: “Pete is a very experienced and energetic personality, perfect for this time of great change and opportunity for Eclipse as more and more businesses explore the benefits of hosted business and application services. He’ll also make a great contribution to our channel strategy; the team has made great strides with our partner community in the last 12-18 months and he takes over with big objectives to keep that momentum going.”

Pete adds, “I’d been aware of Eclipse’s reputation in the market for years, but this didn’t prepare me for finding just how excellent the quality of customer support and technical skills is here. We now have the opportunity to do more to realise and communicate that value to the market; it’s the reason our customers and partners buy from us.”
