The deal follows a similar move by rival network Vodafone which agreed to buy 140 Phones 4U stores and take on 887 of its 5,600 staff.
In a statement a spokesperson from Vodafone said "Our offer was accepted by the administrator and we are pleased to report that approximately 900 former Phones4U employees will keep their jobs and join our dynamic retail business. Subject to court approval, we will start engaging with these employees and begin the rebranding of the stores to Vodafone as soon as possible."
Dixons Carphone has also agreed to take on 160 concessions operating within its stores and is said to be in negotiations to buy a further 50 standalone Phones 4U stores.
The fall into administration was triggered by Vodafone and EE ending distribution agreements with the retailer.
