Excel Cabling Achieves Independent Approval

Excel, the networking cabling system has achieved EC (European Cabling) Verification from testing laboratory Delta, for its recently launched Cat6a cabling system. DELTA is known throughout the world for its position of being at the forefront of technological development and complex testing.

EC VERIFIED is a world-wide quality assurance and the ultimate independent mark of global approval for cables and connecting hardware. Along with Cat6a cabling, the Excel Category 6a product range has also been tested by the Delta EC Cabling Group and complies with the following standards: ISO/IEC 11801:2002 amendment 1 Class Ea, ISO/IEC TR24750, ANSI/EIA/TIA-568-b.2-10 and ANSI/TIA/EIA TSB-155.

Designed and engineered to the highest standard, Excel Cat6a was launched in early spring 2008 and has already grown in popularity; continually being the first choice for installers who rate it for its ‘ease of installation and high build quality’. Andrew Percival, Managing Director for Excel comments: “Achieving EC Verification status for our Category 6a product set is great news for our installation partners as well as their customers. Both parties can make purchasing and specification decisions with confidence and can rest assured that their installed cabling system it not just covered by a ‘no nonsense’ 25 year warranty but is also independently verified. A quick check on the EC Verified companies section of the Delta web site (www.delta.dk/cable) shows just what an achievement this is.”

Percival adds: “Cat6a cabling in general, looks set to grow in popularity as the demand for higher gigabit performance becomes a necessity. We are confident that Excel Cat6a is now setting a standard way above other cabling systems currently on the market and this latest accreditation has already demonstrated this. We actively encourage integrators and end users to ask other cabling manufacturers for copies of valid independent certification for Category 6a performance and Category 6 also. As a general rule, if a certificate is over a year old, it is most probably out of date and invalid. Installers should be aware that some cable manufacturers’ websites are laden with out of date certificates. At Mayflex, we advise installers to ask their current supplier for a certificate from reputable organisations such as Delta, 3P and ETL.”
