Excel Increases Market Share and Maintains 3rd Place Position

Excel Networking Solutions, the copper and optical cabling infrastructure provider has maintained its 3rd place in the UK copper structured cabling market, as reported in the BSRIA 2012 UK Market Report and has increased its market share to 15%.

According to BSRIAs annual independent Structured Cabling report, Excel’s market share for copper cabling systems increased from 11% in 2010 to 15% in 2011, placing it in 3rd place for a second year running. The gap between 2nd and 3rd place in the market share report shrunk dramatically from 7% the previous year to just 3% in 2011, further emphasizing increasing market acceptance of the Excel brand.

For the second year running Excel retained the number one position, for sales of copper cable which grew from 17.90% to 22.2%. The report also confirmed a strong performance in the optical fibre market with Excel now supplying 8% of market demand, placing it in 4th position in terms of share.
