Executel Checks in to Newcastle's Top Hotel

North East based reseller, Executel, has completed a significant installation for Newcastle's newest and most prestigious hotel as part of a £30,000 contract.

The installation – for the recently opened Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle – has provided guests and business users with the very latest technology in the form of a fully integrated Mitel 3300 Voice over IP (Internet Protocol) communications platform.

The solution offers telephony and data services over the same network and is linked to a front of house reservation booking system. Executel has also provided a call routing package, which enables Jesmond Dene House to offer unparalleled call rates to visitors.

This forms part of an all-encompassing technology package for guests of the new luxury boutique hotel, which includes wireless internet connectivity, laptop computer interfacing, electronic roller screen projection, video and DVD players and video-conferencing facilities.

Michael Errington, sales manager for Gateshead-based Executel, explains: “Mitel is one of the world’s leading suppliers of hospitality solutions, delivering advanced communications that enhance guest experience, improve customer service and optimise operational productivity and costs.

“As a Mitel Gold Solution Provider, we are in the privileged position to pass on the enterprise enhancing benefits of these products to our customers.

“Jesmond Dene House offers a combination of 19th century surroundings along with cutting-edge technology and we are delighted to have contributed to this unique formula.”

Spearheaded by award-winning developer Peter Candler and renowned chef Terry Laybourne, who runs the Café 21 restaurants, Jesmond Dene House opened last month and offers 40 en-suite bedrooms, including several suites, and a large dining area which specialises in serving fresh, seasonal regional produce.

Peter Candler, said: “The beauty of Jesmond Dene House is that we can provide modern facilities and the very latest technology in an historic setting - the 19th century meeting the 21st.

“We’ve taken great care to conserve the original qualities of the building, at the same time as meeting the needs of today’s customers and businesses. The parkland setting is a perfect location for a break or as a place to do business.”
