Manchester-based Unicom has promoted Charlotte McHale, 24, from Poynton, to Head of Training and Development.
Charlotte has worked for Unicom for over 4 years and recently tried her hand at professional modelling, appearing in advertisement for the MTV Music Awards and for fashion brand Rare, as well as appearing in the Unicom charity fundraising calendar. Within Unicom she previously worked in the Compliance department and moved into the Training and Development department in August 2007.
Charlotte is currently studying for her CIPD Certificate in Training Practice at Manchester College, and will qualify in October this year.
“While I enjoyed the modelling work, training is the real passion of mine. I’ve enrolled in the CIPD Certification process outside work to better my understanding of training and how it should be used inside work.” said Charlotte.
“My new role involves evaluating the company’s training needs, designing new training material, managing the training staff and ensuring that all customer contact staff are trained to a high standard to deliver the excellent service our customers have come to expect.” said Charlotte.
“Charlotte has been a long standing and valuable member of Unicom. Her commitment outside of work to her personal development has greatly benefitted the company, and has been recognised with her appointment as Head of Training and Development.” said Chris Earle, Operations Director
Unicom – which provides telecom, broadband and website design packages to around 75,000 small business in the UK – recruits and trains graduates on a fast track program to become its managers of the future, as well as promoting talented employees within the company.
