Fujitsu Highlights Parter Potential

IT
Fujitsu’s Technology Products Group says that a revival in sales of workstations is benefiting its reseller partners. With UK sales up 116% year-on-year in the first half of 2014, and a strong pipeline building for the final quarter of 2014, Fujitsu is ramping up investment to ensure partners can take advantage.

Fujitsu appointed its first dedicated Product Manager for professional workstations, Leigh Schvartz, last year and has since made further investment in channel support by appointing John Spurgeon as technical pre-sales specialist for workstations. Spurgeon brings 14 years-experience in the market with Compaq and HP to the new role. Fujitsu is also recruiting an additional sales specialist to meet higher demand for sales support on CELSIUS workstations.

Craig Parker, Head of Product Marketing, says: “We’ve seen a really powerful acceleration in our workstation business and as its high-value and high-margin, that’s good news for partners. We have seen some big wins against the competition and we are seeing more enquiries coming in. That’s why we are redoubling our effort around CELSIUS and investing in more product specialists.

More partners are also looking to workstations as a way to drive higher profits and added value, says Parker. “Skilled workers such as designers and engineers, forensics experts and scientific researchers, need dedicated power and performance that suits their needs precisely and enables them to make full use of their expertise. With the comprehensive configuration options we offer on CELSIUS, partner can really add value for customers with demanding requirements. More of our reseller are now promoting workstation platforms and expressing interest in becoming Fujitsu SELECT Expert Partners in CELSIUS workstations. We’re very happy to help them do that of course.”

The latest additions to the CELSIUS family, The CELSIUS M740 and R940, feature Intel Xeon E5 processors, the latest graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD, and support up to 1TB of DDR4 memory. These new systems have just been announced by the company and with the performance all major system components significantly up-rated, they present resellers with a great opportunity to offer customers a dramatic performance uplift on their current workstation deployments.
