Funkwerk Announces elmeg IP-S400 VoIP System Phone

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) has launched its new high-end IP-S400 system telephone designed specially for Voice over IP deployments in offices and for connecting home workstations. It offers familiar functionality such as alternation between lines, 3-party conferences, busy indication and access to internal phone lists to provide a smooth migration to VoIP.

Remote offices and home workstations can be integrated securely into the corporate infrastructure via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and the VoIP-VPN gateway module built into the elmeg IP-S400.

The elmeg IP-S400 also supports call back, mute and teams, while configurable function keys can be used for speed dialling or call forwarding. A further 60 speed dialling numbers can be added and the telephone book provides up to 250 personal entries as well as access to the system's central directory.

Wireless headsets with DHSG interface, as well as normal wired headsets can be operated with the elmeg IP-S400's special headset port. With 'Power over Ethernet (PoE), the device can be electrically powered via the network connection instead of mains electricity.
