Gamma Telecom Launches FeaturePlus

Gamma Telecom, the voice services applications and solutions provider, will be one of the first UK companies to release quality metric data for an IP telephony service this month when it fully launches its new hosted IP telephony service; 'FeaturePlus'. The service, which will be sold exclusively through Gamma's channel partners, has exceeded the expected quality statistics generated during beta testing trials, with 400 active participants between 1st March 2006 and 30th April 2006.

Bob Falconer, CEO of Gamma Telecom, commented: "The FeaturePlus service has been very well received amongst the SME trial participants. Traditionally, transition to IP telephony and advanced call features has been aimed at large businesses. However, FeaturePlus allows smaller companies to improve their responsiveness, and therefore their productivity and brand image; with this service the end user never needs to miss a call. Gamma's new IP service will enable our channel partners to offer customers quick transition to an IP telephony service, as well as a host of value added services to increase revenue opportunities, without compromising on call quality."

'FeaturePlus' is designed to allow SME end-users to make voice calls across any existing broadband connection using their existing analogue phone equipment, resulting in lower costs of ownership and more advanced calling features. By routing calls directly onto the Gamma Telecom network over existing broadband connections, FeaturePlus provides customers with reduced call costs and free site-to-site and internal calls. The simple plug and play hardware is pre-configured and the user friendly on-screen interface allows end-users to control a host of advanced calling features such as call management and "click to call ". FeaturePlus does not require any infrastructure investment such as an IP-PBX system.
