GCI have announced their acquisition of mobile player CommsXchange as part of their growth strategy to become a major force in the Channel.
CommsXchange are a Vodafone strategic partner that have been in operation since 2003 and in the last four years have reported rapid growth. As well as their platinum status CommsXchange also hold the status of Solutions Pioneer, only one of three partners to hold the accolade, and have closely aligned themselves with Vodafone’s UC strategy
John Whitty (pictured), GCIs Managing Director, commeted “ GCI have been looking for the right mobility business to acquire and CommsXchangeproved to be the perfect fit. This acquisition provides an excellent springboard to enter the mobility product space to support the launch of our own applications such as Hosted Desktop, Hosted Lync, Hosted Broadsoft and Exchange.”
