GGR Wins 'Deal of the Year'

GGR Communications was awarded the UK and Ireland Westcon|Comstor Deal of the Year at the ENGAGE event held in central London on 15th October with over 100 channel partners attending. This was the first time the UK had run the event and therefore the first time there had been any awards presented.

The team of talented engineers at GGR were thrilled to receive the award with Adrian Clinton-Watkins, Managing Director at GGR Communications, commenting “This award concludes an exceptionally busy period for the company. I’d like to personally thank the GGR engineering team for their hard work and commitment to the project to ensure that it was delivered on time. The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is a UK network of independent girls’ schools and we are delighted to have been instrumental in the successful completion of this major project.

GGR’s award was announced and presented by Clive Hailstone, Sales Director of Comstor UK, who said, “This standout deal with the GDST was a $3.7m Cisco unified access project that included a roll out of over 400 switches, 2000 access points and 1700 handsets to 26 sites across the UK. With deployment restricted to the school summer holidays, GGR utilised complex bundles, negotiated an extended credit facility, temporarily consigned stock, and managed the logistics of a relentless installation schedule.”

A spokesperson from GGR said "This is a very proud moment for GGR and demonstrates to our customers and partners our dedication and abilities within the marketplace. The Deal of the Year award is well deserved due to the great teamwork involved in such a large project where timings were so critical."
