GN Appoints New Managing Director For UK & Ireland

Headset solutions vendor GN has announced the appointment of Dale Peters as Regional Managing Director for GN UK and Ireland. Dale will be responsible for building on GN’s success in the region and will be tasked with driving sales and increasing channel recruitment across GN’s three core business units; contact centres; mobile and office. Dale will become a member of the GN European Management Team and will report directly to Jacob Schambye, Senior Vice President, EMEA for GN.

Peters, who has held the position of Sales Director at GN for the past nine months, will continue to support and work with the managers of each GN UK business unit to execute a series of strategies for 2008, concentrating on continued support for existing partners and increasing sales across GN’s wide portfolio of Jabra-branded products.

Peters replaces Jan McNair, who successfully headed up the UK and Ireland business for the past three years. Jan is relocating to GN’s headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he is set to take the role of Vice President for GN’s Office Unit.

“The UK and Ireland represent one of the most important markets in Europe. It is a progressive region that is developing fast and as a result offers fantastic potential for GN,” explained Jacob Schambye, Senior Vice President, EMEA, GN. “Dale’s in-depth understanding of the area, combined with his expertise in channel recruitment and management will ensure that GN is best placed to capitalise on the increased demand for high-quality, reliable headsets from consumer and business customers.”

Peters joined GN in September 2006 and has played a strategic role in launching GN’s channel recruitment programme. Prior to this he held several senior positions at mobile operator Vodafone, where he was responsible for developing and implementing a global partner programme, concentrating specifically on developing new routes to market for mobile data products. The programme was successfully deployed across all of Vodafone's key operating companies, resulting in the recruitment of a new reseller channel, increased penetration into the SME market and significant growth in sales of mobile data solutions.
