Griffin Practice What They Preach

When six members of Griffin’s Technical Support Team called in with flulike symptoms last month, Griffin implemented their contingency plan and all staff that could, worked from home. Using Griffin’s own MPLS IPVPN they were able to receive calls and access the corporate network as if they were in the office. Thankfully the outbreak was contained; all staff recovered within a week and customer service statistics were unaffected.

Resellers may want to put similar plans into action for themselves, but there is also an opportunity here to sell cost effective, scalable remote working services to their own customers.

Andrew Dickinson, Sales & Marketing Director at Griffin commented. “With a third of the world’s population now predicted to contract swine flu in the next nine months many SMEs are looking at contingency plans to get people out of the office. Demand for Griffin’s Agile MPLS for remote working has rocketed and with our Partners we are closing around 50% of bids we work on.”

Clare Frost, Head of Marketing at one of Griffin’s partners, Freedom Communications added.

“We didn’t notice a difference and continued to be well supported by Griffin during this period. We were so impressed that we teamed up with Griffin to create a campaign to target our own customers and are pleased to say that we are currently working on a number of new MPLS remote working opportunities in our base. The pre-bid sales team are on hand to help us design bespoke solutions and our Partner Manager is there to help us win the bids.”
