Griffin to launch hosted VOIP services

Griffin has signed a deal with The Voice Factory to offer a portfolio of white label, hosted telephony solutions to the channel in 2012.

Griffin Partners will have access to a range of hosted IP voice services which they will be able to bundle with existing connectivity offerings and pitch as part of tenders for complex data networks.

Andrew Dickinson, Griffin’s MD said, “For many years Griffin has remained agnostic on SIP and IPCentrex preferring to establish private peering with leading hosted voice providers and letting Griffin Partners decide who to use. As a result we have become one of the leading carriers of IP voice without actually having an offering ourselves. More recently it has become clear that hosted voice is finally taking off and resellers have a preference to buy their connectivity and cloud services from the same supplier. Most importantly, in one of the fastest growing areas of the market – MPLS, many of the tenders we see ask about the availability of cloud services.

In an extensive evaluation of available platforms Broadsoft achieved the #1 rank against most of the criteria and was the clear technology choice. When we looked at go-to-market options The Voice Factory had the most current product set and the best delivery mechanism for our purposes. Furthermore they could get us into the market rapidly with a fantastic proposition at a very competitive price. We have been very impressed by their deep understanding of both the technology and the needs of the end user customer. Although their product is fully tried and tested with live customers, we are running our own alpha and beta tests mainly to refine the sales, delivery and support processes. As soon as we are satisfied that we can meet the needs of our 500+ Partners we will launch.”
