GSMA announces 2009 Mobile Asia Congress

The GSMA has announced that the 2009 Mobile Asia Congress will be held on the 18 to 19 November 2009 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Under the banner ‘Inspiring the Mobile Future’, the 2009 Mobile Asia Congress will bring together the leadership of Asian mobile operators and key players in the broader mobile ecosystem in an exclusive forum for sharing the visions and strategies that will shape the mobile future.

John Hoffman, CEO at the GSMC, a subsidiary of the GSMA, commented: "The Asian mobile market has long been at the leading edge of innovation in technology, applications, services and business strategies. The 2009 Mobile Asia Congress provides the platform to highlight the strength and success of the Asian mobile industry on the world stage."

Over a two day period, approximately 1,000 senior mobile industry executives from across Asia and the world will attend this elite leadership event, which will explore high growth industry areas, emerging topics and a mainstay of strategic and technological issues, with an emphasis on developments in the Asian market.

In addition to a product showcase featuring key mobile technologies and solutions, the sixth annual Mobile Asia Congress will afford attendees important networking and business development opportunities. Further, the GSMA will hold the 2009 Asia Mobile Awards which recognise outstanding growth, innovation and leadership in the Asian mobile market.
