HIGHnet hosts successful channel partner event

Channel Partners of Scotland business telecoms firm HIGHnet have been given tips on how to ‘survive and thrive’.

The company recently hosted its annual partner event at the home of Scottish rugby, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

Around 20 companies attended the daylong event which was attended by Scottish rugby legend Scott Hastings. The former Scottish international player inspired delegates with motivational talks and a tour of Scotland’s national stadium.

Dave Siegel, Managing Director of HIGHnet said: “It was great to hear the experiences of world class sports professional Scott Hastings. He highlighted that the skills and determination you need to stay on top of your game are the same whatever industry you’re in.

He added: “These annual events are important to ensure our partners have the latest product and industry information to deliver the best results for customers. We also wanted to reinforce the message that companies can do more than just survive in the current climate, they really can thrive.”

Delegates heard the latest industry analysis from Adrian Sunderland, Chief Technical Officer at Griffin Internet. Interactive workshops gave partners the opportunity to brush up on their marketing skills and product knowledge, with an emphasis on mobile and IP platforms.

Delegate Gareth Kirk, from Bulbecks Ltd, said: “I found the HIGHnet day extremely helpful and inspiring. HIGHnet have the vision for the future and we will be there with them - inspiring and encouraging.”
